NORTH HERTS GUILD OF SINGERS
We are a happy and successful choir which has been going strong for more than 50 years. Based in Hitchin, we are one of the best-known and best-supported choirs in the area.
Exciting News
In 2026 we set sail for our performance in March of the famous Sea Symphony by Ralph Vaughan Williams. We have not sung this for 20 years and are very excited. There will be a full professional orchestra, two wonderful young soloists and we are being conducted by Harry Bradford.
We are delighted to be able to offer free places to aspiring young singers, over 16 and in full time education. This will include all rehearsals, a full day workshop and the concert itself. Opportunities like this come rarely, and we are grateful for the support of the Vaughan Williams Foundation. As this is 'a big sing' we are also offering the whole term of rehearsals, including book hire and the concert itself, for just £50. We are especially interested in hearing from tenors and basses.
