Our exhausted but happy conductor summed up the Guild's spring concert with four words - that was a cracker! In a virtually full hall, we mustered our largest resources for several years; a choir of 100 singers, including many guests who couldn't pass up the chance to sing Vaughan Williams' magnificent Sea Symphony, was joined by the 50 musicians of Beaufoy Sinfonia plus the King's harpist Mared Pugh Evans and soloists Ellen Mawhinney and Alex Bower-Brown for an unforgettable experience.
We are grateful to the Vaughan Williams Foundation and the Coptic Orthodox Church Centre for their help in the presentation of this concert. It has been an amazing voyage, and as ever we give huge thanks to Harry and Colin - not forgetting Richard, Colin's splendid deputy - for steering us to a safe anchor!
